The internet got played.
A massive hoax spread like wildfire across the web this week, reportedly claiming that superstar pastor Joel Osteen had lost his faith and was going to reject Christianity. The story claimed that Osteen was going to start his own religion.
“I believe that the Bible is a fallible, flawed, highly inconsistent history book that has been altered hundreds of times,” a fake statement from Osteen read. “There is zero evidence the Bible is the holy word of God. There is zero evidence ‘God’ even exists.”
Not to worry. Osteen says he isn’t going anywhere.
